Buttons

Sherry Justus, photographer - Playthings Photo Essay: Buttons, copyright 2006

The buttons were a rainy day activity. Mama would let me play with them on her and Daddy’s bed. I like to sort them by color and make patterns like flowers from them. They were an accumulation of several generations, showing by their very presence that nothing on the farm is wasted, and making them extra special to me. —Bonnie
