Car

Sherry Justus, photographer - Playthings Photo Essay: Car, copyright 2006

When I was a child six or seven years old, I played with my little lever-action tin jalopy on my mother’s linoleum kitchen floor. The patterns in the linoleum were my roads and houses. I had a collection of little pipe cleaner Easter animals that came from the 5 & 10 cent store. These animals took turns riding in the car. I especially liked to play on the floor after Mother mopped, because then it was cool on a hot summer’s day. —Debbie
